Everything you need to know about buying CBD
There are a million CBD products for sale, but almost no official medical information about what CBD does. There’s a reason why it seems impossible to get any useful information about CBD, especially about its health benefits.
We’re here to answer every question you might have about CBD with our CBD FAQ Buying Guide. We’re answering the most often asked questions about CBD to give you the best information about buying it. Check out our ultimate CBD frequently asked questions and buying guide.
What’s the deal with CBD?
CBD is the abbreviated commercial name for Cannabidiol, a specific compound found in the cannabis plant. These compounds are collectively called cannabinoids. CBD is one, THC is another. Many health, beauty, and nutritional products contain CBD and it’s a big part of the wellness industry.
What’s the difference between CBD products and Hemp products?
The basic ingredient in all hemp products is hemp seed oil, the natural oil extracted from the cannabis plant. If the CBD compound is present, it’s sold as a CBD product. If it doesn’t say CBD, then the product does contain hemp oil, but the Cannabidiol has been removed.
Does CBD contain THC?
No. THC is a cannabinoid just like CBD. It’s the compound that gives cannabis its psychoactive properties. The THC has been removed in CBD products.
Is CBD legal?
Yes. CBD is not regulated by federal or state governments. It is 100% legal to buy in every US state and over the internet.
Can you get high off of CBD?
No. With the THC removed there are no psychoactive effects when using CBD products.
What does CBD do?
This is the big question. There are numerous claims about the therapeutic effects and possible health benefits of CBD. However, the FDA has not yet approved CBD for therapeutic use and can penalize CBD retailers who make claims about its benefits.
Research on CBD is ongoing, but many people are already using CBD and reporting its positive health benefits. We just can’t list them here.
Is CBD safe?
Yes. Though it’s not approved by the FDA to treat any condition, as a supplement it’s completely safe to use. Millions of people are already using CBD products.
Will CBD work for me?
We can’t make any claim on what CBD will or won’t do. You must do your own research, read other people’s experiences with CBD, or simply try it for yourself.
What sort of CBD products should I try?
That’s entirely up to you, but chances are whatever health, beauty or nutritional products you already use has a version that contains CBD.
